    The Sespe Group is a California Corporation formed in 1995. It previously operated as a business owned by John Nichols. John Nichols established his business in Santa Paula in 1984.

    The Sespe Group provides curatorial assistance and design, marketing and public relations services for individuals and organizations. Under the direction of John Nichols, the Sespe Group assembles a team of talented individuals for each project. Each associate of the Sespe Group has years of experience in his or her field. This collaborative team approach provides creative solutions for our clients.

      JohnJohn Nichols
        Director/Curator/Photographer/Writer

         John Nichols founded the Sespe Group -
        Creative Services in 1994. Since 1984 he has been the director of the John Nichols Gallery in Santa Paula where he exhibits contemporary and vintage photography, fine art prints, sculpture, and paintings.
      John's involvement in his community has been deep and ongoing. John has served on the Board of Directors for the Ventura County Museum of History and Art for six years and has chaired their Fine Arts Committee. He currently serves on the Artist Selection Committee for the Santa Paula Murals Project. John served as co-chair of the Design Committee for the Downtown Improvement Group of the Santa Paula Redevelopment Agency. He has judged the Santa Paula Art Show. John has served on the board of the Santa Paula Rotary Club, been president of the Santa Paula Historical Society, vice-president of the Santa Paula Theatre Center, and was president of the Universalist Unitarian Church of Santa Paula. He is past-president of the Santa Paula Downtown Merchant's Association.
      Since 1994 John has curated more than a dozen exhibits for the California Oil Museum in Santa Paula. He has curated two exhibits for the Ventura County Museum of History and Art, exhibits for the Ojai Valley Museum, and the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. He installs several exhibits a year at the California Lutheran University's Kwan Fong Gallery of Art and Culture. John's knowledge of local history and local collectors is a great asset in exhibit creation and research.
      John's own photographs have been exhibited at the Ventura County Museum of History and Art in the exhibit "Eight Ventura County Photographers." His work is included in the permanent collection of the Carnegie Art Museum in Oxnard, California.
      John enjoys writing essays and opinion pieces for newspapers and magazines. His articles have been published in Shots Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, the Ventura County Star, the Santa Paula Chronicle, and the Santa Paula Times.
      For the past 25 years, John has made an annual pilgrimage to the Monterey Jazz Festival, the longest running and one of the largest jazz festivals in the world. At the festival, John manages the Garden Stage.
       

      Patty Fallini
      Graphic Designer

      A resident of Santa Paula for over 25 years, Patty Fallini has been involved in the graphics industry locally for as many years as she has resided here. Having a vested interest in Santa Paula, Patty not only works and lives here; she also generously contributes to the well being of others through her community service. Her talents and time have been donated regularly to her church, children's schools and to the Santa Clara Valley Hospice, the Santa Paula Boys and Girls Club and most recently to the Women's History Project.
      Patty's design work has been appreciated by many of the local agricultural related companies including Limoneira Company, which has been selling citrus nationally and internationally for over 100 years. Patty designed their corporate logo, advertising and a variety of print materials used by the company. She also has designed for many years for R. W. Hertel & Sons, Inc. whose single-family homes can be found throughout Ventura and surrounding counties. The Broadcaster Magazine, published quarterly by the Ventura County Farm Bureau, regularly features her work in both advertising and editorial sections.
      Her contributions to the Sespe Group have included implementation of their logo, using a photograph by Michael Moore, a Sespe Group photographer, which she co-designed with John Nichols. Patty also designs posters and event invitations for the Sespe Group.
